Our Federation

The schools federated in April 2011. At this time, the two Governing Bodies of each school joined to form one current Local Governance Committee, responsible for the strategic overview of both schools. The schools retain their own unique identity and ethos, serve communities two miles apart, and have separate admissions processes. However, they share a joint commitment to excellence, learning and high standards. The schools work closely together, sharing policies, systems and staff expertise to maximise good practice, innovation, economies of scale and achieve best value principles.

Both schools cater for children aged four to eleven. The Park Primary School is a two-form entry school, with two classes in each year group, whilst Parkwall Primary School is a one-form entry school, with one class in each year group. Each school is situated within its own grounds, with large play and sports spaces and well-established trees and shrubs.

The Park and Parkwall Primary Schools Federation is proud to be part of Mosaic Partnership Trust. Whilst each school retains its own unique identity and ethos, being part of the Federation and the wider Trust enables us to work collaboratively, share expertise and provide the very best opportunities for our children.

Across the Federation, we provide an ethos that promotes and expects high standards in learning and behaviour, where the development of the whole child takes place through a broad and balanced curriculum. We work hard to create a strong sense of community within our schools, where everyone is valued and plays an important role.

We believe strongly in an active partnership between home and school and aim to ensure that everyone associated with our schools feels part of a caring and supportive community.

We have committed and highly professional staff teams, led by senior leaders who continually strive for excellence for all our children. We are very proud of our schools, their individual histories and the communities they serve, and we would be delighted to welcome you to visit either school.
