At Parkwall Primary School, we are incredibly proud of the community we serve. We are a warm, inclusive school where children and families are at the heart of everything we do.
We know that children thrive when they feel safe, understood and that they truly belong. That is why relationships matter so much at Parkwall. Our staff know our children exceptionally well, take time to understand their individual needs and work closely alongside families to help every child flourish.
Our school values of Aspiration, Collaboration, Resilience and Responsibility run through everything we do. We want our children to believe in themselves, care about others and know that, with the right support and encouragement, they can achieve great things.
A School at the Heart of its Community
Parkwall is much more than a place where children come to learn. We are a community.
We value the relationships we build with our families and recognise the important role that school can play in the lives of children and those who care for them. We listen, we work together and we aim to be a place where families know they will be welcomed, respected and supported.
We understand our community and shape our provision around the children and families we serve. This means looking beyond the classroom and considering what each child needs to be happy, successful and ready to learn.
At Parkwall, families are never simply on the outside looking in. We work in partnership with them.
Every Child is Known
Our children are individuals, and we are proud to know them as such.
We recognise that children arrive at school with different experiences, strengths and needs. Some children may need additional help with learning, communication, emotional wellbeing or other aspects of school life. Our approach is never about expecting every child to fit into the same mould.
Instead, we ask: What does this child need to thrive?
Inclusion is the responsibility of everyone at Parkwall. Our teachers, support staff, SEND team and pastoral staff work closely together to identify barriers and provide thoughtful, appropriate support.
We maintain high expectations for every child while recognising that the journey towards those expectations may look different for different children.
A Safe Place to Belong
One of the most important things we can offer children is a place where they feel safe.
At Parkwall, positive relationships are at the centre of school life. We want children to know that there are adults who notice them, listen to them and will help them when something does not feel right.
Our staff work incredibly hard to create calm, nurturing environments where children can learn, make mistakes, build confidence and experience success.

Our staff are one of Parkwall’s greatest strengths.
They bring commitment, compassion and high expectations to school every day. They understand that excellent teaching and excellent pastoral care go hand in hand, and they work tirelessly to give our children the very best opportunities.
Our team continually develops its practice, working together and drawing upon expertise across our school, our federation and Mosaic Partnership Trust.
Most importantly, our staff care deeply about the children they work with. That care can be seen in the relationships they build, the adaptations they make and their determination to help every child succeed.
Learning From the Very Beginning
Children can now begin their Parkwall journey with us in Parkwall Little Learners, our school-based nursery for children aged 2–4.
Having our nursery as part of the school means we can build strong relationships with children and families from the very beginning. Our youngest learners benefit from a nurturing, play-rich environment where communication, language, independence, curiosity and relationships are carefully developed.
As children move through Nursery, Reception and the rest of the school, we want them to experience a coherent journey in which adults know them well and build upon what has come before.
Ambition and Opportunity for Every Child
We are ambitious for our children.
Alongside a strong curriculum, we want children to experience opportunities that broaden their horizons and help them discover what they enjoy and what they can achieve.
We work hard to ensure that opportunities are genuinely accessible to our children. Trips, visitors, sport, clubs, leadership opportunities and wider experiences all contribute to helping children develop confidence, independence and aspiration.
We want our children to see possibilities for their future and believe those possibilities are open to them.

Parkwall is a school that continually reflects, learns and improves.
As part of our federation with Park Primary School and the wider Mosaic Partnership Trust, our staff benefit from collaboration, shared expertise and opportunities to learn from colleagues across our schools.
